Nicholas A. Solitro elected Chair of Richmond’s Zoning Board of Review
On May 18, 2020, Nicholas A. Solitro was appointed as Chair of the Richmond Zoning Board of Review. His appointment was by unanimous vote. The Zoning Board has authority to grant relief from the restrictions of the town’s zoning ordinance in the form of special use permits and variances. The Board also hears appeals of violation notices and other determinations made by the zoning enforcement officer.
Attorney Solitro was originally appointed to the Zoning Board by the Richmond Town Council in 2018. His current term expires in 2025.
Attorney Solitro is an attorney at Robert E. Craven & Associates. His legal practice focuses on litigating both civil and criminal matters in all Rhode Island state and federal courts. In addition to serving as Chair of the Richmond Zoning Board of Review, he serves as Municipal Court Judge in Cranston as well as Adjunct Faculty at the Community College of Rhode Island.
